10 minutes before midnight on 1st, July in 1945 , 154 B-29  from Saipan had  bombed Kumamoto. It was incredible random bombing for non-armed civilians. 469 civilians had killed and 552 people had injured. I want young people to know about the truth of the War. War must be senseless murder, you know.

We had a party last weekend to welcome students from U.S. Naval Academy who are majoring Japanese. They are all capable, prospective and polite students. Mr. Hayashi and I had a really pleasant time with them. I think it’s very important for you to try your English if you have a chance, guys! Feeling miserable surely makes you a better English speaker, I believe. Actually, we’ll have a farewell party on 18th July at somewhere. Won’t you join us and brush up your English with them.

The Bucket List

Posted on June 29th, 2008 in Uncategorized by ajisababa

As I told you, I saw a movie titled “The Bucket List”. It was a very sad story. The story was so good though, having two men dying of cancer and just wanting to live their last few months to the fullest.

They list up something they have been thinking to try, but not until now. Some of them are “Help complete stranger for the good” “Laugh until I cry” “Kiss the most beautiful woman in the world”.

I believe Morgan Freeman probably did his best job he has ever done before.

Jack Nicholson did a great job as well. He always plays a great part in every movie he plays in.

Overall this was a very heartwarming movie. That really made viewers thinks about their death. It’s one of the feel good movies of 2008. It’s worth your money you pay to go see it.                                                              576words

fasion and manners

Posted on June 22nd, 2008 in Uncategorized by ajisababa

Yung people look to Tokyo for new trends these days, but the trends are often either kitsch (decorations, movies etc. that seem to be cheap and unfashionable, and often amuse people because of this) or borderline kinky (unusual). Especially, I don’t understand about young women’s fashion now. They are wearing long underpants under their skirts or loving to wear short pants exposing their thigh. It’s not fashion indeed! It must be a sort of tools to cover their bad manners. Because no japanese young women are able to put their knees together when they sit on chair or something..  Nowadays, Japanese young people are not inhibited by religious values. Both of  my grand parents and parents were always scolding me about my bad behavior when I was a kid, yeah, Confucian values were still incredibly strong then in Japan, but not these days. I’m afraid about young people are increasingly amoral . I believe fashions for young ladies must be clean and a bit attractive         .                                       713words

Don’t eat meat too much

Posted on June 22nd, 2008 in Uncategorized by ajisababa

We’ve got many cases such as parricides, filicides, and the baby-batting these days in Japan. I think these are really concerned to foods, yes, eating habit. We, Japanese originally had been mild and calm vegetarians races  before Meiji era. Yet, especially after World War II, US occupation had given us lots of various and exotic things. One of them was food, eating habits has entirely changed. The Japanese came to eat a lot of meat and it has made shorty Japanese taller and stronger. However, eating lots of meat has made many Japanese short-tempered psychos. I believe that eating meat too much makes people mad and ferocious. By the way I’m not a vegetarian.

Euphemism

Posted on June 8th, 2008 in Uncategorized by ajisababa

You know, washroom, bathroom, restroom, these are all the same, right?

The answer is that Americans in general, have a more conservative or prudish attitude when it comes bathroom or toilet affairs. “Bathroom” and “Washroom” are essentially euphemisms. A euphemism is an expression intended by the speaker to be less offensive, disturbing, or troubling to the listener than the word or phrase it replaces. In other words, Americans don’t want to people to picture them in the toilet.

Baby-boom generations

Baby boomers are likely to be polarized after retirement into a very small group of rich people that will lead leisurely lives and the others who will lead miserable lives.

I’ve been believing God is always unfair to humans.

Charlie Wilson’s war

Posted on June 1st, 2008 in Uncategorized by ajisababa

Hi! I wanna talk about one of the  newest movie “Charlie Wilson’s war” today. Tom Hanks  and  Julia Roberts were stared. It was based on the true story of how Charlie Wilson, an alcoholic womanizer and Texas congressman, persuade the CIA (Central Intelligence Agency) to train and arm resistance fighters in Afghanistan to fend off the Soviet Union. He contributes to kick Red Army out of Afghanistan. But I’ve really shocked to see that Julia Roberts gets older, absolutely so do I. I remember  she was shining in “Pretty Woman” and “Notting hill”. What a pity!. I’ll tell you about “The Bucket List” next time.
